The nurses are available by appointment and can help you with minor injuries, dressings, childhood immunisations, travel advice and vaccinations, influenza vaccines, removal of stitches, ear syringing, cervical smears and ECGs .  Information and advice on all forms of contraception and sexual health.  They can advise on diet and weight management, asthma, diabetes and smoking cessation.  They provide an important role in the management of chronic disease and health screening within the practice.  The nurses will also visit people who are housebound.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
